I'm Mélilot.
Here in Paris, where I live since many years now, I am glad to receive and to send postcards worldwide.

To get ideas about who I am and what would make me happy, here is a list of themes I like in general, and then on postcards.
Some are old passions, some are new ones, I feel like an onion, with several layers.

►food, recipes, markets, foodshops,...
I have developped a real passion for food those last years.
I like finding good products, trying new recipes, new combinations.
I love the colours and the smells of markets and nice food shops. And I love discovering new tastes, this is endless.

►nature:
Ponds and rivers and all that's related to water especially freshwater, trees, forests, mountains, rural views, drawings of flowers and plants, and also gardens, including vegetables ones,...

► Wild animals from snails to much bigger ones, wolves, all bears, otters, and many others, plus an increasing interest in birds and marine wildlife!
& species in danger of extinction (animals, plants) : I'm a member of several associations for the protection of nature.

► cultural themes :
Postcards from natural history museums and other scientific museums are very appreciated!
Music and musical instruments, comics, cinema, photo, street art, painting (modern art esp.), ...
Also books, writers and writing.

► from your country:
Show it to me through maps (old and new, I love maps!), wildlife, food, patterns, fabrics, craft, design, decorative arts, artIfacts.
GF welcome too! Lou Paper (USA) as well!

I'm not a collector but nice stamps are welcome, Europa stamps too,

I don't really enjoy free, ad cards (except old ones) and multiviews; and I love real postcards :)
Also I'm not too crazy about monuments and city views esp. photos of cities on postcards [except rare countries]... but I like illustrations and urban sketching very much.
Please: send me no object, esp. no money, thanks. Only a postcard ♥

C'est le profil qui était visible jusqu'à la crise du (de la !) covid19
Il sera un peu modifié ultérieurement.

 

2021: if you want to make me extra happy, send me postcards showing terrestrial snails. Preference: your local snails but even invasive species, if they are here for a long time (eg: cornu aspersum from the USA is ok).

No giant African snails unless you send it from a country of Africa, thanks. 

No snails for eating (recipes, cooking, ...), thanks :))
